In a recent interview with Study International, Ani Avetisyan, co-founder of AVE Digital and the #1 LinkedIn creator in Armenia, reflected on how students can use LinkedIn as a long-term opportunity-building tool, long before they feel “ready.”

Ani began posting on LinkedIn during her final year of university, at a time when she had just 500 connections, mostly classmates and people she had met at events. There was no grand strategy behind it. She simply showed up consistently, shared her thoughts, and used the platform to express her perspective. Within a year, her audience grew organically to 15,000 followers, and today that community has expanded to more than 25,000.

In the interview, Ani emphasizes that LinkedIn should not be viewed only as a job-hunting platform. For students especially, it can serve as a space to build credibility, visibility, and professional identity even before having a polished CV or diploma. By sharing insights, experiences, and observations, students can begin creating opportunities instead of waiting for them to appear.

What stands out most in Ani’s journey is the simplicity of her approach. Consistency, sharing one’s perspective, even when it feels obvious, and trusting the process were the habits that shaped her growth. That early visibility helped her build credibility and opened doors well before she officially entered the job market.

Today, Ani encourages students and young professionals to start early. As she notes in the interview, LinkedIn is still a platform where thoughtful voices can grow quickly, and the more visible you are, the easier it becomes for the right people and opportunities to find you.
